Memorial Day Weekend May 25-28

Bowling alleys are just about in everyone’s neighborhood. Ours has a rock and bowling night where they blast metal tunes over the PA system. Well, nobody combines music and bowling quite like Shawn and Mark Stern of BYO Records. The guys put together a festival called Punk Rock Bowling back in 1999 as a way to bring together independent music in the community. The event has grown over the years and brings together 5000 fans along with some of the best old school and new school punk acts from the last 35 years. They have just announced the 14th annual festival’s line-up and itinerary and it looks to be one heck of a weekend in Las Vegas!

This year’s festival will take place over Memorial Day Weekend on May 25-28 and is going to be jam packed full of activities. The guys just announced the first bands on board and they include Rancid, the Briefs, the Adicts, NOFX and Pennywise. There will be 8 bands performing each day on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and over 60 bands over the 3 day event. There will also be 4 very special, late night shows in small, very intimate settings.

Oh yeah, let’s not forget the huge bowling tournament. It has been expanded to accommodate even more people so that everyone who wants to enter will have a chance to.
